①良い知らせと悪い知らせ
A man receives a phone call from his doctor.
ある男の元に医者から電話が掛かってきた
The doctor says, “I have some good news and some bad news.”
医者：良い知らせと悪い知らせがあるんだが
The man says, “OK, give me the good news first.”
男：ok、まずは良い知らせの方から聞かせてくれ
The doctor says, “The good news is, you have 24 hours to live.”
医者：うむ、君の余命は２４時間だ
The man replies, “Oh no! If that’s the good news, then what’s the bad news?”
男：おいおい！それが良い知らせなら悪い知らせはどれだけ酷いんだよ？
The doctor says, “The bad news is, I forgot to call you yesterday.”
医者：悪い方の知らせはな、昨日キミに電話を掛け忘れてしまったことだ
※receive (レシーブ) 「～を受け取る」

②バイリンガル
Man: A person who speaks two languages is bilingual.
男性：２ヵ国語を話せる人は”バイリンガル”
Man:A person who speaks three languages is trilingual.
男性：３ヵ国語を話せる人は”トルリンガル”
Man:A person who speaks four or more languages is multilingual.
男性：４ヵ国語以上話す事が出来る人は”マルチリンガル”というんだ。
Woman:What is a person who speaks one language?
女性：じゃあ１ヵ国語しか話せない人は？
Man:An American.
男性：”アメリカ人”だな。
※A person who ～ 「～な人」
「どんな人か」を説明する時に、「人」の後ろにwhoを付けて文章を繋げる。
「どんな物（動物）か」を説明する時はwhichをwhoの代わりに繋げると◎。
